Get ready to learn how to support young people navigating mental health challenges in this hands-on training!

Join us for an engaging, in-person Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training. This interactive course is designed to teach adults how to recognize and respond to mental health and substance use challenges in youth ages 12–18. Whether you work with youth or support them as a parent, caregiver, educator, or community member, this training will build your confidence and skills to provide meaningful support.

In this training, you will learn how to:

  • Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges in youth.
  • Respond effectively to a young person experiencing a crisis or distress.
  • Connect youth to appropriate professional and community resources.
  • Support early intervention and help reduce stigma.

Upon successful completion, you will receive a YMHFA certification valid for three years.

The training includes one 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks. Please note that lunch will not be provided—participants are encouraged to bring their own.

We look forward to learning with you!
